FAMILY LIFE
Wright was born in Richard Center, Wisconsin on June 8th, 1867. No one to this day knew Wright's birth house but many conspiracies. Wright's father was William Carey Wright, a musician and minister. William's first wife died before Wright was born. After William re-married to Anna Lloyd-Jones Wright and had Frank and his two younger sisters.
CHILDHOODGrowing up, Wright's mother did not see his intelligence, she began to agree with the educational theories of a man named Friedrich Froebel. She bought a set of blocks called "Froebel Blocks" which are different shapes crafted from wood, which were used to construct small toy buildings. With these blocks which helped children to work with colors and shapes Wright composed his first building. "Those blocks stayed in my fingers all my life." He said. Wright not only had a passion for constructing but also for reading books such as Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo, Which had a specific chapter on architecture which really struck him. This pleased his mother because before he was born she wanted him to become an architect and create wonderful buildings.
